The Makerspace connects patrons with tools and knowledge to foster hands-on learning and creative exploration.
Who can use the Makerspace?
The Makerspace is open to users of all skill levels! All users must review the procedures and have a registration form on file. Library cardholders aged 14-17 may use the lab unsupervised with a parental permission form on file, and children 13 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Can I reserve the Makerspace?
The library cannot guarantee specific access times to the Makerspace or its equipment. The Makerspace is a collaborative space, and other patrons may be using the room at the same time. It is expected that users will be mindful of others and not monopolize the space or equipment.
What equipment and software are available in the Makerspace?
The Makerspace offers a variety of specialized equipment and software available for hands-on crafting at any experience level. Library of Things items may also be used in the Makerspace.

Will someone train me on the equipment?
Staff are available for brief assistance but are not experts on every piece of equipment and cannot provide full project instruction. Users are expected to have a basic understanding of the equipment before use.
Patrons are expected to follow the color-coded system for all equipment.

- Yellow – Users are expected to familiarize themselves with the equipment before use. Options include:
- How to videos
- Step-by-step instruction guides
- Requesting a one-on-one coach with staff
- Red – Staff use only
Is there a charge to use the Makerspace?
While the space and equipment are free to use, there is a charge for materials. Patrons may supply their own materials except for 3D printer filament, which must be purchased through the library.

How do I 3D print?
